Our School

Dunlop PS
We acknowledge that our learning is taking place on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory. We thank the Algonquin Nation for hosting us and recognize their enduring presence on this land.

Our School

Dunlop School is a community school located on several acres of grassed land in South Keys. The school is enriched by its diverse socio economic, cultural and multilingual student population. Our school actively involves students, teachers and parents in the establishment and growth of a positive school climate in which each child can enjoy and realize his/her maximum learning potential and develop into a responsible, caring, skilled and confident member of society.

Our Students

Dunlop P.S. has an average enrollment of 145 students each year. Our diverse student population represents many different countries and language groups. Students in our attendance area move to Blossom Park P.S. or Featherston Drive P.S. for Middle French Immersion. Our Grade 6 students in the Regular English program move on to Roberta Bondar P.S. for Grades 7 and 8.

Our Staff

Many of our teachers have additional or Specialist Qualifications in one or more of the following: Special Education, English as a Second Language, French as Second Language, Science  and the Arts. The teachers, office, and support staff work as a team, continuously seeking professional growth opportunities, in order to ensure our school is a safe and caring place to learn and to model life-long learning.

Our Community

Drawing from the South Keys and Greenboro Communities, families at Dunlop Public School represent a rich diversity of people who bring a wealth of different experiences to share and enrich our school.

Volunteers are welcomed to participate in school activities and in support of the instructional program. They form an important component of our school community. We welcome student placements from Algonquin College and from various Bachelor of Education programs.

Our School Council consists of an active volunteer group of members of the school community who work tirelessly on behalf of the students. Any parents/guardians interested in being a part of the School Council, are asked to contact the principal. Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the library. During the Winter months, Council meetings are held virtually.

Our School is a Community School, used regularly by various organizations after hours.
